Join Stripe Portland for a community-led, 75-minute introduction to Stripe Atlas.
Founders around the world might need to incorporate before they can issue founder equity, work with investors and startup accelerators, accept payments, or raise funds. This workshop explains how they can incorporate a startup in the US with Stripe Atlas and how eligible companies can then use Stripe products to accept payments, manage funds, and fundraise.
It’s for founders worldwide who are considering incorporating and want to understand the Atlas application process. You don’t need prior experience with incorporation or Stripe Atlas to take part.
During the workshop, you’ll:
- Hear why founders worldwide incorporate their startups in the US. Learn how forming a US Delaware C corporation might help you issue founder equity, work with investors and startup accelerators, accept payments, or raise funds.
- Follow a guided Stripe Atlas application walk-through. See what founders need to prepare, which decisions they encounter, and what happens after they submit their applications.
- Learn why Lovable and Linear chose Stripe Atlas. See how both companies incorporated with Atlas and later began using other Stripe products as their needs grew.
- Choose how you participate. Follow the full workshop with or without entering personal or company details, or start your own application privately during the optional work period.
- Explore what can come next after incorporation. Learn how companies can manage funds with Stripe Treasury, accept payments with Stripe Payments, and prepare and track a SAFE round with Stripe Fundraising.
You’ll leave with:
- A clear picture of the Stripe Atlas application and what to prepare to apply
- An overview of how companies can use Stripe products to manage funds, accept payments, and fundraise
- Official resources on Atlas, Treasury, Payments, and Fundraising
- An understanding of which decisions might require qualified legal, tax, or other professional advice
This workshop is educational. It doesn’t recommend a company structure or replace legal, tax, accounting, investment, or financial advice. Atlas, Treasury, Payments, and Fundraising are separate products. Eligibility requirements, availability, terms, and timelines vary by product.
