Welcome to the first event from the Stripe EdTech Community.

This community brings together edtech founders, e-commerce founders, VETs, Institutions, Learning Corporate Academies, and SaaS operators and platform developers working in Edtech to share what's working, learn from each other's experiences, and figure it out together.

At this first online meetup, we'll introduce ourselves and set the direction for the community together. No long presentations — just a real conversation with people working in EDUCATIONAL and Life Long Learning digital environments who are figuring out the same things you are.

Who's it for? Business owners, operators, and builders working in Edtech — whether you already use Stripe, are exploring the ecosystem, or simply want a peer community to come back to.

We'll explain Why EdTech Community? Why Now?, an interactive kick-off event to share how we could generate connections, business-model experiments, founder case studies and potentially new collaborations across the EdTech ecosystem.

An ecosystem where learning, skills, professional experiences and opportunities can accompany people throughout their careers, across organizations, platforms and borders. WHY EDTECH COMMUNITY AND WHY NOW

Education is shifting from a defined phase of life to a continuous career infrastructure. People need to learn, reskill and demonstrate new capabilities throughout their working lives. EdTech is therefore increasingly connected with skills, employability and economic opportunity. Several transformations are converging: Generative AI, lifelong learning, skills-based employment, micro-credentials, SaaS/platform models, digital identity and increasingly global digital payments. Individually they are important; together they can redesign how people learn and build careers. Not “a community about payments”, but a community exploring what modern economic infrastructure can enable for EdTech: subscriptions, SaaS, platform economics, global payments and emerging models.
